Sifri Eye Center has been providing compassionate, caring eye care to the Western Hills area for over 60 years. Dr. Michael Sifri has received multiple awards, including Top 10 Ophthalmologist in Ohio, Top Doctor in Cincinnati, the Patient Choice Award, and Compassionate Doctor Recognition. Dr. Michael Sifri is an ophthalmologist, a physician (Medical Doctor) who is a specialist in medical and surgical treatment of the eyes and their associated structures. After completing college and four years of medical school, a physician must undergo four more years of specialized training before becoming an ophthalmologist. This specialized knowledge is refined and updated by taking additional courses at medical centers and attending professional meetings to inform the doctor of new advances in eye care.
Dr. Sifri is a Cincinnati native, who graduated with honors from Oak Hills High School and Miami University in Oxford, OH. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, participated as a Glaucoma Research Fellow and the University of California, San Diego, then completed his internship at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio.
He finished his residency in ophthalmology at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is certified to perform dropless no-stitch and no-patch cataract surgery and laser surgery for nearsightedness, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetes.
He is currently in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology. He has also been an ophthalmic consultant for the Cincinnati Reds since 2010.
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Alex Kuley has joined the Sifri Eye Center team. With Board Certification in comprehensive ophthalmology and retinal surgery, Dr. Kuley is excited to continue to bring the latest therapies to our patients. Through Dr. Kuley, we will now be offering injections for macular degeneration, along with treatments and surgeries for other retinal diseases.
Dr. Kuley attended St. Xavier High School before graduating cum laude with a degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine with honors in medical education. He then went to Georgetown University to complete his medicine internship. He completed his ophthalmology residency at University of Cincinnati, where he served as chief resident and was awarded special commendation for leadership. He completed his Retina and Vitreous Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he earned the Henry Ford Star award for outstanding fellow across all specialties. Dr. Kuley enjoys medical mission work, hiking, and golf.
Prior to joining us, he has worked in large group private practice and trained extensively in everything from routine eye care to complex cataract and retinal surgery. Beyond offering the latest treatments, Dr. Kuley prides himself on providing personalized experience for each patient. Ocular disease can be challenging, but Dr. Kuley is dedicated to bringing cutting age care to preserve and restore vision for you and your loved one.
